Leilani
Hi there,
My name is Leilani, which means "Heavenly Flower" in Hawaiian, thanks Mom and Dad.
I was born in Fremont, Ca. and grew up a few miles away in Union City, Ca. I am a Polynesian Dance Teacher
and have been dancing most of my life, I enjoy sharing the Aloha Spirit and perpetuating the Hawaiian Culture.
My husband Andrew and I live in Fremont on a beautiful mountain top with gorgeous views.
We have been together for 10 yrs. and we'll be celebrating our 6th Wedding Anniversary later this month.
Andrew enjoys cooking... his specialty is BBQing. He really enjoys baking too. He is The Cookie Man
because when he makes cookies they disappear, it's really amazing...people just can't stop eating them!
I have one sister T'Marii who is eight years younger than me, a brother-in-law James, and a niece Memorii Love who is 16 yrs. old.
They all live in Southern California with their two dogs and 1 cat.
I'm so excited to be on this Mission Team going to Kenya! I'm looking forward to ALL that GOD has in store for me and our team!
I'm going with an open heart, an open mind and anticipating being a blessing and being blessed in whatever way He chooses.
Thank you Lord in advance for this incredible adventure and journey you have prepared for us and continue to prepare us for this trip.
All of you who read this...please lift us up to God in prayer, we need your prayer support continually!!!
Dear Lord, Thank You for your faithfulness to us your children, You are All we need. Amen.
with joy,
Leilani

Denny
After about 20 years in high tech marketing, in 2006 Denny and his family moved to Nakuru, Kenya to work as missionaries. After 3 years and a successful mission working with orphans and former street children the Huebner family returned to the U.S. with a new perspective on life. "We now understand how rewarding yet difficult missionary life can be. Whatever we do going forward, we want to make the lives of missionaries in the field a bit easier", Denny says. "I'm looking forward to this trip because I will have a chance to reunite with good Kenyan friends and to connect with missionary families who remain in Kenya and bless the people there each and every day."

Cassandra Marie
Jambo! My name is Cassandra Marie Luontela. I have been to Kenya for the last two years....all because 8 years ago God planted a seed of passion for working in Africa in my heart. Someone once said "once Africa gets a hold of you it wont let go" well it is true and it happened to me and I could not be more in love with the idea!
I grew up in lovely Monterey. My family has sadly relocated to Arizona... they are happy to be in the land of sun and not fog. :) I moved to Fremont to attend Interpreting Prep Program for ASL and have been here ever since.
For this trip to Kenya I am excited to lead this fab team and with them branch out into new ministries. I know there will be many highs and lows for this team as well as myself and I am so thrilled to see what God wants to do with them. Also seeing old friends and meeting new ones brings a smile to my face. I know there are reasons each person is on this team and God will use us for specific purpose.....and He will let us in do time on why. Really I can say is......is it May 13th yet? :0)

Eugene Johnson
Growing up I was a young black stereotypical teenager. I grew up in one of the worst neighborhoods in New York City. I was getting into a lot of trouble and doing things I really should not have been doing. Then one of the greatest things happens to me. God put me in an environment of people who were good associations. God started to show me that in order to live for him i had to get around people who were living for him and I realized that living for Christ is a process and the lord has taught me a valuable lesson and that was that it doesn’t matter if your in the light of Christ because if your environment is not right you are going back into the darkness. So my life Purpose and my vision for going to Kenya is to create and environment that builds faith, inspires and motivates those in Kenya to pull out the greatness within them and give them a hope for the future and a faith that with the help of God they will achieve what God called them to achieve. And also to be a testimony that struggle, obstacles, and failures are apart of achieving their purpose and that God uses trials and tribulation as building blocks. God Wraps all Great Big Gifts in Great Big Problems. So i say all that to say, I am going to Kenya to be an example of how God can take you from a failure to walking in his purpose, But i believe i will learn more and take home more value then i can ever give. So i am excited for what God will allow Kenya to impart into me before i leave beautiful Kenya. I cant Wait. I just feel blessed to be apart of this awesome team and Honored to allow God to use me to display Love like grace said and to do his work.

Grace G.
Aloha! My name is Grace Garcia, a little bit about me..... My dad Luis and working at Cisco. My mom Kitta and she now is a teacher. I have one older brother, his name is Ben, he just moved back to Cali from graduating University of Hawaii, and myself just finished my units at San Jose City College with my focus on Cultural Anthropology.
I first got introduced to going to Africa with this team in 2008, and as awesome as a trip to Africa sounds, it just wasn't my time, for reasons only God knows. Now two years later, grown up a bit, finally feel like God is calling me to "love". I pray every night, every drive I take to every destination my day may bring asking God "are you for real?" And He is, this trip to me the most will be a trip to love, show love and to be loved. I'm totally stoked we have although a small team, a strong team and I'm looking forward to getting to know them as well as myself better. I can't wait for May! Let's raise that money team and LOVE!
